Innovation / Auralisation

Auralisation enables a client to hear what different noise levels and different acoustic ratings sound like. By doing so it provides a better understanding of noise and allows our clients to make their own subjective assessments.

Examples of where auralisation can be used include:

  • Internal noise transfer through partitions
  • Internal noise levels from building services or external noise ingress
  • Reverberation within a space from different noise sources such as speech, see demonstration below
  • Demonstration of unusual noise sources such as engine brake noise

It allows the effectiveness of different acoustic treatments to be aurally assessed.
